“We’re all mad here,” suggests Bank Square’s passion for all things coffee. The hatter himself would have been quite at home, sinking into mismatched chairs, sipping tea and nibbling on local gluten-free and vegan pastries. Bank Square’s prime spot is at the top of the hill from the train station making it the gateway to Main Street. You will notice both locals and visitors alike filtering in and out throughout the day.
This historic landmark, named after its place among the five corners of Beacon, pays tribute to the old guard of the city. Main Street has slowly transformed and the owners, Leonard and Katy Bell Behney, understand and remember its roots. Bank Square’s doors are seemingly always open. Whether you work alone t your computer with headphones or you and your crew get a whole pot of coffee and sit outside catching up − you’ll know there’s no place like Bank Square in Beacon.
